Why Trinary Day?

Trinary Day – 12/21/12
The day the world was supposed to end.

Dictionary.com defines trinary as

“consisting of three parts, or preceding by three”

So for my math challenged friends, 1+2 = 3
Three sets of 1+2 or three sets of 3 -> Trinary!

The concept of Trinary day was developed in the wee hours of the morning following a very tasty bottle of wine (Red if you must know – probably more than one). So if the world was going to end, why don’t I just spend the last remnants of our devastated 401k on a totally useless domain name. Then, if the spirit strikes me, I can blog about the end of days and leave a record for the insects who will eventually rise as the dominate species on the planet. When they come upon this record, they can add it to their archeological/anthropological study of the extinct human race and realize that we really were whack jobs!

The domain name was available and credit card was handy. Unfortunately, we were so busy getting ready for the end of days (there was a whole chiller full of that tasty red) that I never got around to blogging anything.

Fast forward – the world didn’t end and the domain is still mine so I thought, “what the heck”, for $9.99 a year let’s ramble on about various and sundry subjects just because.

Trinary logic can be described as three states where the smallest number corresponds to logical falsity, the highest number to logical truth and the middle value to logical neutrality. Yep, that’s right “Meh”.

So buckle up and get ready for some “Meh”. This is my soapbox for the absurd!
